Dr Stephen Gill and Prof Richard Page have been contributing to a cohort study of AFL injuries presenting to our emergency departments. The paper highlighted the different types of injuries between the genders. The original paper can be found here titled “Gender differences in female and male Australian Football injuries — A prospective observational study of emergency department presentations“. It was featured on the 7 News. This will help inform the AFL in making sport safer for participants. Congratulations to all involved.
