Currently elective surgery is limited to category 1 and 2a surgeries (urgent only) . We have not been notified when this will change from the department of health, or what parameters are being used, but we still have many COVID cases in ICU and a second peak is expected after lockdown easing. We expect many infected Melbournians to journey into our area . This may particularly effect the Geelong and Surf Coast as evidenced by waste water COVID detection in Apollo bay, Aires inlet and Lorne. Our situation is very uncertain.
