We here at Geelong Orthopaedics would like to acknowledge international womens day. Here is a list of the female nobel laureates throughout history and their stories. We hope you enjoy reading about their ground breaking achievements. We would in particularly like to highlight Marie curie, who helped discover and promote XRs which we utilise every day in our medical practice. She also invented the “mobile” XR for the battlefield, a version of which we utilise in our operating theatres. She is also the only scientist to hold 2 Nobel prizes (chemistry and physics).
