Dr Shaun Waring is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in lower limb surgery, with particular expertise in hip and knee arthritis, sports injuries and trauma. He is committed to helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Shaun completed his medical degree as part of the inaugural cohort at Deakin University before undertaking orthopaedic training throughout Victoria. he later returned to Geelong, where he is proud to care for patients in the local community.
Before becoming a doctor, Shaun worked for many years as a physiotherapist. This unique background gives him a genuine appreciation of the challenges patients face before and after surgery, as well as the importance of rehabilitation in achieving the best possible outcomes. He believes in taking the time to listen, clearly explain treatment options, and work closely with each patient to develop a personalised plan that aligns with their goals and lifestyle.
Whether surgery is required or not, Shaun’s focus is on providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports patients through every stage of their treatment and recovery.
