Dr David Bowyer has served as the director of orthopaedic surgery at University Hospital Geelong. He has retired from that position. He has continued a long tradition of Geelong Orthopaedics surgeons contributing to and growing the care of orthopaedic patients in all parts of our community here. We want to thank him for his fantastic efforts, particularly during the COVID period which required much refocus. He is of course continuing his great work as an orthopaedic surgeon, and also teaching registrars, medical students fellows.A/Prof Kevin Eng has now taken over as director. Thanks again Dr Bowyer!
