We are now allowed to utilise 100% of our lists in private and public. A welcome change as hospitalisations from COVID 19 fall. 25% of the private hospital lists still have to be given to the public hospital however, and we are all sharing the occasional cancellation of our private lists to allow public surgery to occur. For example one of our surgeons all day lists was made into a morning only to allow a public list to occur in the afternoon, effectively cutting our private lists in half. This agreement will end in April and we are expecting to forge ahead from then. We can only thankyou for your patience , and we are working hard to advocate to for your at all levels. We strongly advise boosters and vaccinations for anyone who is eligible so that the winter peak and BA2 variant do not shut us down again!
